Surface Preparation & Application
Sealer soaks into whatever surface texture the timber has, so preparation still determines the final result even though the product itself penetrates rather than sitting on top.
Sand along the grain, working through progressively finer grades of abrasive paper to a smooth, even surface. Remove all dust thoroughly — dust trapped in the grain interferes with even penetration and shows as a slightly cloudy patch once sealed.
