Surface Preparation & Application
The surface should be clean, dry, and free from all loose material including efflorescence and old flaking paint. New plaster must cure fully before priming — the alkali resistance in this product provides real protection, but it is not a licence to prime green plaster still releasing moisture.
Where the wall has been puttied, sand smooth and remove all sanding dust thoroughly. Wipe down rather than brushing off; residual dust prevents the primer bonding, and it costs nothing to avoid.
For walls needing filling as well as priming, apply Nelson Trends Wall Filling Putty first, allow to dry completely, and level with emery paper.
Stir thoroughly before use. Apply by brush, roller, or spray, thinning with clean water as directed on the pack. One coat is normally sufficient; highly absorbent surfaces may need a second. Allow to dry fully before topcoating. Clean equipment with water immediately after use.
