PDQ Epoxy Lining-Food Grade Epoxy

PDQ Epoxy Lining-Food Grade Epoxy

PDQ Epoxy Lining a two-pack epoxy phenolic lining designed for drum interiors and food-grade cans—offers excellent solvent resistance, corrosion protection, and abrasion durability.

PDQ Epoxy Lining (Comex) is a high-performance, epoxy-phenolic coating formulated for drum lining and food-grade can applications. With excellent resistance to solvents, chemicals, and corrosion, it provides long-lasting protection for metal substrates in demanding environments.
This translucent golden or off-white finish is suitable for mild steel surfaces and may be used in food-grade applications, subject to individual testing. It features a volume solids content of 44±2% and is applied in two coats with a dry film thickness of 10–40 microns.
Stoving is required at 170–180°C for 10 minutes per coat. The product has a pot life of 2 hours and is packaged in a 4L base + 1L activator kit. Application methods include roller, conventional spray, and plural heated/airless spray—with spray preferred for uniformity.
Surface preparation must ensure a clean, dry substrate. Recoat interval begins once the surface cools to ambient temperature. Full cure is achieved in 24 hours at 28°C. Shelf life is 6 months.
Clean-up requires Comex Thinner and mineral spirits. Adequate ventilation and respiratory protection are essential due to the presence of crystalline silica.
