Zinc Rich Galvanized Film is a high-performance, cold galvanizing compound formulated with 92–95% pure metallic zinc. Designed for topcoating over ZRC primers, it provides exceptional cathodic protection for steel and iron surfaces exposed to subtropical, marine, and industrial conditions.
This semi-gloss bright silver coating matches the appearance and performance of hot-dip galvanizing and is ideal for field-applied galvanizing, weld repair, metal fabrication, and re-galvanizing worn surfaces. Common applications include antenna towers, bridges, petrochemical plants, cooling towers, and offshore structures.
The product features a volume solids content of 50±3%, a theoretical coverage of 9.5 m²/Ltr/coat at 28 microns DFT, and a pot life of 24 hours. It dries to touch within 30–60 minutes depending on temperature and cures fully within 12 hours for recoating. Maximum service temperature is 177°C (350°F).
Application methods include brush, roller, low-pressure spray, and airless spray. Surface preparation must meet SSPC standards (SP1, SP3, SP6, SP10) based on substrate condition. Compatible with ZRC 95% and ZRC 221 RAPID primers and GCI COMEXS Classic Thinner.
