Intumescent Coating for Concrete is a high-performance, water-based fire-resistant finish formulated to protect plasterboard, lath-and-plaster ceilings, coving, and concrete walls. Upon exposure to fire, the coating expands into a micro-porous char layer, insulating the substrate and preserving structural integrity.Available in ash white, off white, lavender white, and light grey satin finishes, this slightly textured, low-viscosity paste is completely water-soluble and emits minimal odor. It is applied in two coats at 8 m²/Ltr/coat to achieve up to 72 minutes of fire protection, as verified by Warrington and Lafarge test reports.
Surface preparation includes removal of loose paint and wallpaper, followed by repair using compatible intumescent mastic or cement. If adhesion is poor, a PVA adhesive primer or fireproof primer may be used. The coating is compatible with external acrylic emulsions for decorative overcoating.
Application methods include brush, roller, and airless spray (Nozzle 1-15, Pressure 150 bar). The product dries to touch in 1 hour and must be applied in ambient temperatures above 5°C. Shelf life is available in 90-day and 180-day variants.
