Silicon Based High Temperature Coating is a moisture-curing, dual-pack system formulated for steel surfaces exposed to high thermal stress. Engineered to withstand peak temperatures up to 648°C (1200°F) and continuous exposure up to 530°C (1000°F), this coating offers exceptional resistance to weathering, corrosion, and thermal shock.
Ideal for storage tank externals, compressor stations, equipment, and piping, it can be applied over grit-blasted steel (ISO-Sa2½) or power tool-cleaned rusted steel (ISO-St3). It is also compatible with zinc silicate primers and zinc dust graphite high-temp bases.
Available in silver and black semi-gloss finishes, the coating features a volume solids content of 36±2% and VOC levels under 478 g/L. Recommended dry film thickness is 20 microns (silver) and 32 microns (black), with theoretical coverage of 12 m²/L and 8 m²/L respectively.
Touch dry in 45 minutes and recoatable after 16 hours, the coating requires a minimum of 3 days drying at 20°C before heat exposure. For optimal film performance, gradual heating up to 200°C is recommended. Application methods include air spray, brush, and roller—with fine foam rollers preferred for best results.
